About Roque Solis

Roque founded SoliSYSTEMS in late 2001 when he fell victim to the dot com bust.  He started doing freelance work in the payment systems and smart card industries and quickly outgrew his workload as he discovered ways to create new projects for his customers.

With over 18 years of experience in the industry, he is considered very knowledgeable in areas of software development, networking, and systems in general, and has developed an extensive network of strategic partners, engineers, and consultants that span not only the United States but also Mexico, Argentina, and Uruguay.

Now, customers and peers alike, call on him for advice whenever they have a need in their company or know of someone who does.  Roque believes that word of mouth is extremely important for the success of a small business, that is why he works diligently to ensure that every project his company undertakes is a success.

Roque was born in Mexico and migrated to the United States when he was 8 years of age.  He grew up in South Texas and moved to Dallas, Texas in 1986.

• Loves to tinker with systems in general regardless of the platform.
• Is an expert in Smart Cards, Security and has used cryptography for 10 years
• Is an expert in payment systems and has experience with virtually the entire payments spectrum.
• Loves spending time with his family.
• Enjoys reading Thomas Hardy, surfing, and fishing (whenever he gets a chance).
