Broadcast Code AdministratorThis system is build with redundancy and security in mind. The system essentially is the hub for the assembly process at Nissan Mexicana. Every morning it receives two files from the sales mainframe containing the list of vehicles to be assembled. The system loads the files into the database; through complex business rules, it generates manageable parts-by-model tables. Once a minute the production application sends a request for a vehicle to be assembled containing the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) plus some sequence information. The Broadcast Cost Administrator (BCA) assembles the work instruction and sends it to the automated parts-picking systems. The BCA also provides a comprehensive administration interface where users can make corrections/changes at the parts level, e.g. whenever a certain part from a certain manufacturer is running out the administrator can introduce a new part from a different manufacturer. Because these changes take place in real-time, and to ensure accountability, the system is equipped with Hitachi's Finger Vein scanner (H-1) to ensure that only authorized persons can make the changes; providing an inherent non-repudiation mechanism at the same time. Due to the critical nature of the system, a sophisticated monitoring/alarm system is also provided to alert operators, and system owners alike, whenever a critical error takes place. The operators can silence the alarm after it has been addressed using their finger vein, again providing user accountability. Client: Nissan, Mexico |
Finger Vein developmentSoliSYSTEMS is at the forefront when it comes to implementations of Hitachi's Finger Vein technology. We have virtually worked on every one of Hitachi's Finger Vein scanners that have come to the United States from Hitachi Japan. We have developed applications, SDKs, and even assisted Hitachi's customers' with their integration needs. Whether it's Hitachi's physical access solution "The VeinGuard", which is based on the HOTS module, or the H-1 USB Finger Vein scanner, we are familiar with the technology at every level. Smart Card based EMRWe have recently completed release 2.0 of this smart card based application for healthcare providers. This application is used to track a Patient's medical history, i.e. Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and provide immunization history for siblings or offspring, all on the same smart card. Strong Authentication is the basis of its security and even provides a Power of Attorney and electronic signature capabilities. The best part is that this is only ONE of many applications that can be loaded in the smart card because it is based on MULTOS, which allows for multiple applications on the same card. This is a proprietary application and we are not at liberty to disclose the end customer unless we obtain written permission but we can certainly discuss how we can meet your company's needs on similar or totally new requirements. Send us an email at sales@solisystems.com and you'll receive a response within 24 hours. Client: Cardwerk, USA |
Smart Bio Authentication ServerWe built this authentication framework for a healthcare (EMR) system but its architecture is generic enough that it could be used by any application that requires strong authentication using smart card and biometrics. The smart card is based on MULTOS, which allows for multiple application to be deployed on the same smart card, even after the smart cards have been deployed. It provides role-based access control mechanism for accessing and modifying data on the smart card. The system also provides two smart clients used to issue smart cards on-site and to perform the authentication process. The system can be configured to launch either a desktop or a web application with a token already created, which the target application must maintain in order to manage the information on the smart card. Smard Card Production ApplicationSoliSYSTEMS has extensive experience in the smart card industry and can easily assist you with your card personalization needs. Whether your card production is in the hundreds, or thousands, even millions, we can certainly tailor a framework of utilities that will facilitate the production process. This utility is loaded with card production log files, which are then interpreted using business rules, in order to determine if the process has yielded, or is yielding smart cards with duplicate numbers. This application also assists the operator in re-submitting failed or rejected smart cards into the production cycle without causing false duplicate card reporting. The utility has been used in the production of over one million smart cards so far, and counting. Client: Hitachi America Security Solutions, USA |
Application Management SystemsWhile this component can be used as a stand-alone application for managing ALUs, it is best suited to environment where there is already an existing Identify or Card Management System. It consists of two smart clients which implement a mutual authentication mechanism in order to communicate with the server-side application. An end-customer can select a card or series of cards to receive a new ALU. Key Management is performed using SafeNet's Protect Server Gold Hardware Security Module (HSM) with functions exposed through web services. The database is based on Microsoft's SQL Server 2005 and can be loaded with a custom card numbering scheme or based on the unique MULTOS ID from the enablement data. The customer controls which card numbers get which ALUs within a specific time period. DUKPT Encrypted MagstripeThis is one of several projects we've done based on the concept where the customer owns the reader deployment and needs to handle the DUKPT encryption operations on their host system. Normally DUKPT is used to protect the user's PIN at the PIN Pad device, but lately a new technique to protect the Track data as it travels to the acquirer's system also uses this key management scheme. Of course, the acquirer system must be able to decrypt the track data, using DUKPT, before it can be used to construct an authorization request message. A similar project that we did uses DUKPT to protect Social Security Numbers as they travel throughout the enterprise. Client: Propay Inc., USA |
Rapid-Med onlineThe RapidMed website is an example of how to provide great customer service to the end-customer without sacrificing security. RapidMed customers are able to sign-in from home, providing only the information required to add them to the waiting list, without having to come in the clinic first. The nursing staff is notified when a patient is requesting to be added to the waiting list and the nurse can either directly meet this request, or simply make a phone call to the patient advising them that the wait is minimal and the patient could walk-in and get serviced right-away. This simple service not only saves the patients time, but it also gives them a sense that RapidMed cares about their time, as well as their health. See it live Client: Rapid-Med, Texas, USA |
